We are very proud of our pub restaurant. Recently awarded 2 AA rosettes and mentioned in the Michelin Guide our only goal is to deliver great-tasting dishes that everyone can enjoy.

At the White Horse Inn, our kitchen philosophy is simple ‘Keep it local and keep it seasonal’. All of our pub restaurant suppliers are based in the West Country and where possible we source from local, small, family-run farms. With our meat coming from as far away as the Quantock Hills in Somerset and some so local we can walk there to pick it up. Our vegetables and fruit are again, sourced close to home.   Line-caught fish by day boats and coastal native shellfish are supplied fresh to us through the Brixham fish market.

The chef team love a little twist on things so expect to see Asian & European influences combined with classic British ingredients. Booking is highly recommended, especially for weekends and our Sunday lunch, which includes our very popular vegetarian roast with all the trimmings. Scroll down to view our sample menus. Our menu of home-cooked dishes includes all your pub favourites as well as chef specials to get the taste buds tingling. The environment in our pub restaurant is warm and friendly and you will always be greeted with a smile!

Fresh & locally sourced

Virtually everything is made and prepared on site, right down to the tomato ketchup (& dog treats). Sourcing local ingredients from the village and surrounding area you really get a taste of the area on your plate. If we can’t source the ingredients from within a few miles great care is taken to source responsibly and ethically.

The partridge on barley risotto for the main course was made with a delicious tasty stock. The crispness of the pastry on the blackberry Mille feuille was wonderful.
